MCCB for 100 A line protection
The SENTRON 3VA1010-3ED42-0CC0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current, built for line protection duty in distribution panels. The TM210 thermal-magnetic release handles overload and short-circuit protection without a separate relay. Breaking capacity runs 75.6 kA at 240 V and 52.5 kA at 415 V, so it clears high-fault events on the secondary side of a transformer or at the main feeder. The 70 mm depth and 101.6 mm width fit standard MCCB mounting footprints in a DIN-rail or panel-mount enclosure.
Breaking capacity and thermal derating
Rated continuous current holds at 100 A from 40 °C through 50 °C, then steps down to 96 A at 55 °C, 94 A at 60 °C, 92 A at 65 °C, and 90 A at 70 °C. That derating curve means a panel at 55 °C ambient loses 4 A of headroom — factor it when sizing for a warm enclosure. Breaking capacity drops from 75.6 kA at 240 V to 52.5 kA at 415 V, then 32 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V. At higher line voltages the fault-clearing margin shrinks; verify the available fault current at your system voltage.
Auxiliary and undervoltage release
Comes with 2 auxiliary switches (HQ type) and an undervoltage release (UVR) factory-installed. The integrated auxiliary trip module is order code 3VA9608-0BB24. No communication function, no phase failure detection, no ground fault monitoring — this is a straight line-protection breaker. The overcurrent release is a TM210 thermal-magnetic unit. Storage temperature range -40 °C to 80 °C; operating range -25 °C to 70 °C. Front IP40 protection keeps dust out of the enclosure cutout.
