The Siemens 3VA1010-4ED32-0AF0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) for line protection, carrying a 100 A rating at 40 °C and a 3-pole design. The TM210 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release handles overloads and short circuits without an external trip unit. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, so it's comfortable on 480 V or 600 V class systems without derating the insulation.
Breaking capacity and thermal derating
Breaking capacity hits 121 kA at 240 V, 75.6 kA at 415 V, and still holds 11.9 kA at 690 V. That's enough for high-fault panels downstream of a large transformer. The thermal curve is flat from 40 °C to 50 °C at 100 A, then drops to 98 A at 55 °C, 96 A at 60 °C, 94 A at 65 °C, and 91 A at 70 °C. If the panel runs hot, size the load for the 70 °C number.
Panel fit and auxiliaries
The breaker is 70 mm deep, 76.2 mm wide, and 130 mm tall. That 70 mm depth is shallow enough for most 200 mm deep enclosures without crowding the gland plate. It ships with one auxiliary switch and one trip alarm switch (HQ design) — enough for a remote status and fault indication without adding a separate module. No undervoltage release or ground-fault monitoring on this variant.
