What the ratings mean for fit
The Siemens 3VA1010-4ED32-0CC0 is a 3-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated 100 A at 40 °C, sized for line protection in distribution panels. The 100 A continuous rating holds flat through 50 °C — no derating needed in a typical 40 °C panel — then steps down to 98 A at 55 °C and 91 A at 70 °C. That thermal curve means the breaker carries its full nameplate in most industrial enclosures; only a hot cabinet above 50 °C forces a down-rate. Breaking capacity runs 121 kA at 240 V AC, 75.6 kA at 415 V, 52.5 kA at 440 V, and 11.9 kA at 500 V and 690 V. At typical 400 V-class distribution voltages the 75.6 kA figure covers high-fault industrial services; the 11.9 kA at 500/690 V still clears a strong fault on 690 V drives or mining gear.
Panel integration and wiring
Mounts on a DIN rail or direct panel — 76.2 mm wide (3 in), 130 mm tall, 70 mm deep. The 70 mm depth (2.76 in) is shallow enough for a standard enclosure with room for rear cable exit. Maximum power loss is 27.5 W — modest for a 100 A frame. Insulation voltage rated 800 V.
