What it is and what it does
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1010-4ED32-0JH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated 100 A at 40 °C, designed for line protection in distribution panels and motor branch circuits. Its interrupting capacity hits 121 kA at 240 V and 75.6 kA at 415 V, so it handles high-fault utility feeds without cascading failure upstream. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, and the unit carries a shunt trip (STL) plus two auxiliary switches with one trip alarm switch (HQ) — enough for remote signaling and emergency-off integration. Power loss maxes at 25 W, so panel ventilation is straightforward.
Mounting and integration
Dimensions are 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, 70 mm deep — a standard SENTRON 3VA frame that fits DIN-rail or panel-mount enclosures without re-drilling. The 3-pole footprint matches the common 3VA1110 series, so a swap into an existing panel specified around a 3VA1110-5EF32-0AM0 is mechanically compatible, though the electrical ratings differ (the 3VA1110 carries higher ampacity).
Thermal derating and ambient limits
Rated 100 A from 40 °C through 50 °C; above that it derates linearly to 91 A at 70 °C. Operating ambient spans -25 °C to 70 °C, storage from -40 °C to 80 °C. If your panel runs hot near the top of the range, factor the derating into the branch-circuit sizing.
