What this MCCB carries
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1010-4ED42-0BC0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection. It carries a continuous current of 100 A at 40 °C, holds that rating up through 50 °C, then derates to 98 A at 55 °C, 96 A at 60 °C, 94 A at 65 °C, and 91 A at 70 °C. That thermal curve means the breaker can sit in a warm panel without stepping down a frame size — useful when the enclosure runs hot from other gear. Breaking capacity is 121 kA at 240 V AC, dropping to 75.6 kA at 415 V, 52.5 kA at 440 V, and 11.9 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. The rated insulation voltage is 800 V, so the breaker is built for 690 V line-to-line systems with margin. Power loss at full load runs 27.5 W maximum — factor that into the enclosure thermal budget.
Built-in undervoltage release
This variant ships with an undervoltage release (UVR) fitted, plus two auxiliary switches HQ. The UVR trips the breaker when supply voltage drops below a set threshold — standard for safety circuits where a downstream motor or process must shut down on loss of control power. No ground-fault monitoring module is included; this is a straight line-protection MCCB with undervoltage and auxiliary signaling only.
