What this 20 A MCCB does for your panel
It breaks up to 52.5 kA at 240 V, 32 kA at 415 V, and still holds 7.5 kA at 690 V, so it handles high-fault panels without cascading upstream. The 76.2 mm width and 70 mm depth fit standard 3-pole MCCB panel slots; the 130 mm height clears most enclosure gutters.
At 415 V it still manages 32 kA — enough for European 400 V systems with high transformer ratings. The 13.6 kA at 440 V and 7.5 kA at 690 V matter for industrial 690 V drives and genset feeds; if your available fault current at 690 V exceeds 7.5 kA, you need a current-limiting upstream device or a higher-rated frame.
Thermal derating — don't lose headroom at elevated ambient
The 20 A rating holds flat up to 50 °C ambient. Above that it derates: 19.2 A at 55 °C, 18.8 A at 60 °C, 18.4 A at 65 °C, and 18 A at 70 °C.
Auxiliary contacts and release options
If you need those, the 3VA family supports them as field-installable accessories, but this specific unit leaves those slots empty. The IP40 front protection (finger-safe) is standard for panel-mounted breakers; the rest of the breaker is IP20 once installed.
