What this MCCB rating means for your panel
Breaking capacity is voltage-dependent: 52.5 kA at 240 V, 32 kA at 415 V, 13.6 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V. At 415 V the 32 kA rating covers most industrial distribution panels; at 690 V the 7.5 kA figure still handles typical motor branch-circuit faults. Thermal derating is flat to 50 °C (20 A), then drops to 19.2 A at 55 °C, 18.8 A at 60 °C, 18.4 A at 65 °C, and 18 A at 70 °C. The shunt trip (STL) design accepts an external undervoltage or remote-trip signal; the matching accessory order code is 3VA9688-0BL32. No auxiliary contacts, no communication function, no phase-failure detection — this is a bare line-protection breaker, not a metering or motor-protection device.
