The Siemens 3VA1020-2ED36-0AD0 is a 3-pole IEC frame 100 circuit breaker from the 3VA1 series, rated for line protection with a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit (TM210).
The overload protection is set at a fixed Ir=20 A, with short-circuit protection fixed at Ii=16 x In (320 A). Because both are fixed — not adjustable — this breaker is a straight drop-in for a 20 A branch circuit where you don't need field tuning. The TM210 curve provides a thermal-magnetic response: thermal for sustained overloads, magnetic for instantaneous shorts. The 16kA @ 415 V SCCR means it can be applied on a 415 V supply with available fault current up to that value without requiring an upstream current-limiting fuse or breaker.
Integration and connections
The breaker uses clamp (screw) connections, which accept copper or aluminum conductors up to the frame's rated wire range. It ships with three factory-installed auxiliary switches (HQ type) for remote status indication — useful for PLC inputs or alarm annunciation.
