Breaking capacity reaches 52.5 kA at 240 V AC, stepping down to 32 kA at 415 V and 7.5 kA at 690 V — so it handles high-fault utility feeds at lower voltages but derates predictably on 690 V systems.
At 60 °C it derates to 19 A, and holds that figure through 70 °C. That's a shallow derating curve — you don't lose a full amp until you're past 55 °C, which matters for a panel running warm near a drive or transformer. The maximum power loss is 12 W, so heat dissipation inside the enclosure is modest.
At 415 V it's 32 kA, at 440 V it's 13.6 kA, and at 500 V and 690 V it settles at 7.5 kA. The 3-pole design breaks all three phases simultaneously.
Width is 76.2 mm (3 in), depth is 70 mm (2.76 in), height is 130 mm (5.12 in). That's a standard SENTRON 3VA1 frame footprint — it fits the same DIN-rail or screw-mount panel cutout as the rest of the 3VA1 family. If you're swapping out an older 3VA1 variant, the mounting holes and bus-bar spacing are identical. No surprises on the gland plate.
Environmental range
That covers unheated warehouses and outdoor enclosures in most climates. The storage minimum of -40 °C is the handling limit, not the running limit — fine for a spare sitting on a shelf in a northern facility.
