The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1020-2ED36-0KH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) designed for line protection in distribution panels. It is rated 20 A at 40 °C and delivers an interrupting capacity of 52.5 kA at 240 V, with derated values at higher voltages: 32 kA at 415 V, 13.6 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at 500 V and 690 V. The insulation voltage is rated 800 V.
Current ratings and thermal derating
The breaker holds its full 20 A rating across ambient temperatures from 40 °C through 55 °C. At 60 °C and 65 °C it derates to 19 A, and at 70 °C it remains at 19 A. This means the part can be applied in a warm enclosure without losing headroom until the ambient exceeds 55 °C.
Auxiliary and release options
This variant includes a shunt trip (STL) release and a complement of two auxiliary switches plus one trip alarm switch (HQ). The basic switch assembly is order code 3VA10202ED360AA0. There is no undervoltage release and no ground-fault monitoring module on this build.
