The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1020-3ED32-0DH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 20 A continuous current (Iu) with a TM210 thermal-magnetic release. It carries a 75.6 kA interrupting capacity at 240 V and 52.5 kA at 415 V, so it handles high-fault service-entrance and distribution panels where the available short-circuit current is substantial. The breaker includes an undervoltage release (UVR) and comes with 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch (HQ) — enough to signal status back to a PLC or annunciator without adding a separate accessory module.
Thermal derating and panel fit
The breaker holds its full 20 A rating up to 50 °C ambient, then derates to 19.2 A at 55 °C and 18 A at 70 °C. That means in a warm panel — say, a packed MCC next to a drive cabinet — you still get nearly full capacity without oversizing the frame. The 70 mm depth and 76.2 mm width fit the standard SENTRON 3VA footprint, so it drops into existing panel layouts and busbar systems without re-drilling. IP40 on the front keeps dust out of the mechanism in a clean indoor panel.
