SENTRON 3VA1020-4ED32-0AA0 — 20 A MCCB with TM210 release
The Siemens 3VA1020-4ED32-0AA0 is a 3-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 20 A continuous current at 40 °C, with a TM210 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release designed for line protection.
Panel fit and mounting
The 3VA1020-4ED32-0AA0 measures 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, and 70 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for DIN-rail or screw-mount panel integration. Front IP40 protection means it is suited for enclosed panel installation where tools or fingers are unlikely to contact live parts; no IP rating is stated for the sides or rear, so clearance to grounded metalwork should follow the manufacturer's minimum-air-gap table.
Breaking capacity by voltage — the real selection gate
The interrupting rating is not a single number: at 240 V it is 121 kA, at 415 V it is 75.6 kA, at 440 V it is 52.5 kA, and at 500 V or 690 V it drops to 11.9 kA. That 11.9 kA plateau at higher voltages is the binding constraint for a 480 V or 600 V class installation — if your available fault current exceeds 11.9 kA at those voltages, this breaker is not a fit. The TM210 release is a thermal-magnetic type, so no electronic adjustment or communication function is present.
