Line protection MCCB — 25 A, 3-pole, TM210 release
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1025-3ED32-0HH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 25 A continuous current (Iu) at 40 °C, with a TM210 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release. It carries a 75.6 kA interrupting rating at 240 V, 52.5 kA at 415 V, 32 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V — the SCCR drops as voltage rises, so verify the available fault current at your system voltage. The TM210 release is fixed thermal and magnetic; no adjustment dial, so coordination studies should use the published trip curves. Built-in auxiliary contacts are 2 form-C aux switches plus 1 separate trip-alarm switch (HQ type), giving three independent signal paths for remote status and fault annunciation. The shunt trip release (STL) is factory-integrated — order code 3VA9688-0BL30 for the release module itself if you need a spare. No undervoltage release, no communication module, no ground-fault monitoring on this variant; it is a straight line-protection breaker for distribution panels.
Thermal derating and panel fit
The 25 A rating holds flat from 40 °C through 50 °C. Above that, derate linearly: 24 A at 55 °C, 23.5 A at 60 °C, 23 A at 65 °C, 22.5 A at 70 °C. If the panel ambient runs hot — say near a transformer or drive bank — size the load at the derated value, not the nameplate 25 A. The 70 mm depth and 76.2 mm width fit standard SENTRON 3VA panel cutouts; the 130 mm height leaves clearance for the shunt trip and auxiliary wiring. IP40 on the front face means no water jets, but fine for a clean indoor enclosure.
