What this MCCB delivers — and where it fits
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1025-4ED32-0CA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 25 A continuous current at 40 °C, with a TM210 thermal-magnetic release that handles overloads and short circuits without external power. Its interrupting ratings are 121 kA at 240 V, 75.6 kA at 415 V, 52.5 kA at 440 V, and 11.9 kA at 690 V — so it clears high-fault conditions across common low-voltage distribution voltages without cascading upstream. The 70 mm depth and 76.2 mm width fit standard panel layouts; the IP40 front protection means it's suited for indoor switchboards, not washdown environments.
Thermal derating and real-world current capacity
This breaker holds its full 25 A rating up to 50 °C ambient. Above that, it derates: 24 A at 55 °C, 23.5 A at 60 °C, 23 A at 65 °C, and 22.5 A at 70 °C. If your panel runs hot — say, a crowded enclosure near a furnace line — factor that 2.5 A drop at 70 °C into your load calc. The operating range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C.
Built-in undervoltage release — what that means for your circuit
The 3VA1025-4ED32-0CA0 ships with an undervoltage release (UVR) as standard — the auxiliary release design is the UVR type. That means if supply voltage drops below the release threshold, the breaker trips automatically. Good for motor branch circuits where you want a guaranteed drop-out on brownout, or for safety disconnects that must open on loss of control power. There's no auxiliary contact, no communication module, no phase-failure detection built in — it's a straightforward line-protection breaker with UVR. The integrated auxiliary trip order code is 3VA9608-0BB24 if you need to add that later.
Panel fit and mounting notes
Dimensions: 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, 70 mm deep. Three-pole form factor mounts on a standard DIN rail or direct panel-mount via the SENTRON base. The IP40 front protection keeps dust out of the mechanism in a typical indoor switchboard. No trip indicator on the front — you'll need to check position or add an auxiliary contact (3VA9608-0BB24) for remote status.
