The Siemens 3VA1025-4ED32-0KC0 is a 3-pole IEC frame 100 circuit breaker with a 25 A rating and a 36 kA breaking capacity at 415 V (class S). It's built for line protection using a TM210 thermal-magnetic trip unit — fixed overload protection at Ir = 25 A and short-circuit pickup set at Ii = 12.8 × In. That fixed ratio means no field-adjustable magnetic trip; the breaker trips fast on hard faults, which simplifies coordination studies for the panel builder.
What the ratings mean on the line
The 36 kA Icu at 415 V is the ultimate breaking capacity — the breaker can safely interrupt a fault of that magnitude once and still be functional. For a 25 A feeder protecting a motor control center or distribution panel, that's serious headroom. The shunt trip (STL) operates on 220–250 V DC or 208–277 V AC, so you can remotely trip the breaker from an E-stop or fire alarm relay without running a separate control voltage. Two auxiliary switches (HQ) give you status feedback — one for the main contacts, one for the trip alarm — enough to light up a PLC input or a panel lamp without adding an external block.
Panel integration notes
Mounts on a standard DIN rail in the enclosure. The nut keeper kit is included — that's the hardware that holds the terminal nuts captive so you don't drop one into a live panel during wiring. The shunt trip and auxiliary switches are factory-installed, so no field assembly of accessories. For a panel builder, that saves about 10 minutes per breaker on the bench.
