What this MCCB is and what it covers
The SENTRON 3VA1025-4ED42-0AA0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker rated at 25 A continuous at 40 °C, designed for line protection in distribution panels and feeder circuits. It carries a 121 kA interrupting rating at 240 V AC — that figure governs fault clearance on low-voltage secondary sides of a 480 V–240 V step-down transformer or a 240 V delta service. The TM210 thermal-magnetic trip unit provides fixed thermal and magnetic pickup; no adjustments, no voltage-trip or communication modules on this variant.
Current rating and thermal derating
Rated 25 A from 40 °C through 50 °C, then steps down to 24 A at 55 °C and 60 °C, and 23 A at 65 °C and 70 °C. For a 40 °C panel ambient the full 25 A is available; above that, apply the derating curve. The 70 mm depth and 101.6 mm width fit standard 4-pole MCCB panel cutouts — check the mounting footprint against the existing backpanel layout if retrofitting.
Breaking capacity across voltages
Interrupting ratings: 121 kA at 240 V AC, 75.6 kA at 415 V, 52.5 kA at 440 V, 11.9 kA at 500 V and at 690 V. The 121 kA figure at 240 V is the highest in the range — this breaker is sized for high-fault locations on 240 V secondaries. The 11.9 kA at 690 V means it can serve 690 V line-to-line circuits only where the available fault current stays under that threshold.
