SENTRON 3VA1 MCCB for line protection
It carries a TM210 thermal-magnetic release — the thermal element handles overloads, the magnetic element clears short-circuits — and is rated 32 A continuously at 40 °C ambient, derating to 30 A at 70 °C. That 32 A rating holds all the way to 50 °C, so it keeps full capacity in a warm enclosure without oversizing. Breaking capacity is 52.5 kA at 240 V AC, dropping to 32 kA at 415 V and 13.6 kA at 440 V — enough for most industrial service-entrance or sub-distribution boards where fault current runs high at lower voltages. The 3VA1 frame is a compact 3-inch-wide (76.2 mm) footprint that fits standard panel cutouts. Depth is 70 mm, height 130 mm.
That keeps it simple and reliable for line protection where you want a predictable trip curve without programming. For selectivity studies: the 52.5 kA at 240 V and 32 kA at 415 V give good discrimination with downstream 10 kA or 18 kA rated breakers, as long as the cascading ratio stays within typical 2:1 guidelines.
