What this MCCB carries and where it fits
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1032-2ED36-0CC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 32 A continuous current (Iu) with a TM210 thermal-magnetic release. Its interrupting capacity hits 52.5 kA at 240 V, 32 kA at 415 V, 13.6 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V — so it handles high-fault utility feeds or transformer secondaries where the available fault current is substantial. Built for line protection in distribution panels, this MCCB includes an undervoltage release (UVR) and two high-quality auxiliary switches (3VA9608-0BB24). The UVR lets you trip the breaker on loss of control voltage — useful for safety circuits or remote shutdown schemes. No communication module, no ground-fault monitoring, no phase-failure detection; this is a straightforward thermal-magnetic breaker for standard feeder or branch protection. Panel footprint: 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm high, 70 mm deep. Front face carries IP40 protection — fine for enclosed switchgear, not for washdown areas. Rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 800 V, so it's comfortable on 400/480 V systems with headroom.
Thermal derating and operating range
The 32 A rating holds flat from 40 °C through 50 °C. Above that it steps down: 30.72 A at 55 °C, 30.08 A at 60 °C, 29.44 A at 65 °C, and 28.8 A at 70 °C. If your panel ambient runs hot — say, near a drive stack or in a non-climate-controlled enclosure — factor that derating into your load calcs. Operating ambient range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C.
