Breaking capacity across voltages — the so-what
The interrupting rating drops as system voltage rises: 75.6 kA at 240 V, 52.5 kA at 415 V, 32 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. For a 480 V panel in North America you work with the 440 V figure (32 kA) as the closest published bound; for 400 V IEC systems the 415 V number (52.5 kA) applies.
Above that it derates by roughly 1 A per 5 °C step: 31 A at 55 °C and 60 °C, then 30 A at 65 °C and 70 °C. Maximum power dissipation is 13.1 W — a meaningful number when calculating enclosure heat rise, especially in a densely packed panel with multiple MCCBs running near their rating.
The 3VA1032 frame measures 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, and 70 mm deep. The 3-pole width of 76.2 mm (3 inches) is the same footprint as other 3VA frame sizes, so a panel laid out for a 3VA1010 or 3VA1020 accepts this 32 A unit without re-drilling or re-wiring the bus bars.
Environmental and insulation ratings
No ground-fault monitoring module is included in this variant, and no communication function is built in — it is a standalone thermal-magnetic breaker with a UVR.
