What the ratings mean for fit
The 3VA1032-3ED36-0DA0 is a 3-pole SENTRON MCCB rated for 32 A continuous at 40 °C, and it holds that rating flat through 50 °C — only starts derating above 55 °C, where it drops to 30.72 A, then 30.08 A at 60 °C, 29.44 A at 65 °C, and 28.8 A at 70 °C. That thermal curve means a panel running at 50 °C ambient still gets full 32 A capacity; no need to oversize for a warm enclosure. The interrupting ratings climb with system voltage: 75.6 kA at 240 V, 52.5 kA at 415 V, 32 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V. For a 480 V distribution panel, that 32 kA at 440 V figure is the one that governs SCCR coordination — check your available fault current against that value. The TM210 thermal-magnetic release handles line protection, no communication module or phase-failure detection on this variant.
Panel integration
Mounts on a DIN rail or panel-mount base — the 70 mm depth, 76.2 mm width, and 130 mm height fit standard SENTRON 3VA footprint. IP40 on the front means it's protected against tools and small wires entering the face, but it's not sealed for washdown; keep it inside a panel enclosure. The 800 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) covers most low-voltage distribution up to 690 V line-to-line. No auxiliary contact version fitted on this order code — if you need status feedback, you'll add a separate auxiliary switch block.
