32 A MCCB with 121 kA interrupting rating — line protection for high-fault panels
The Siemens 3VA1032-4ED32-0DC0 is a 3-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for 32 A continuous current with a TM210 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release. Its interrupting capacity hits 121 kA at 240 V AC, 75.6 kA at 415 V, and 52.5 kA at 440 V — numbers that tell you it handles high available fault current without cascading upstream. At 690 V it still breaks 11.9 kA. That makes it a fit for main or feeder protection in industrial panels where the transformer or utility service delivers serious short-circuit energy. The TM210 release is thermal-magnetic — fixed thermal curve for overload, magnetic pickup for short circuit. No electronic trip unit, no communication module, no ground-fault monitoring. It is a straight line-protection breaker: feed a bus, protect a distribution panel, guard a motor control center feeder. The 32 A rating holds flat from 40 °C to 50 °C, then derates to 30.72 A at 55 °C, 30.08 A at 60 °C, 29.44 A at 65 °C, and 28.8 A at 70 °C. If your panel ambient runs above 50 °C, the continuous current drops roughly 1 A per 5 °C step.
Panel fit and auxiliary wiring
The breaker measures 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm tall, 70 mm deep — standard SENTRON 3VA footprint. It carries two factory-fitted HQ auxiliary switches (3VA9608-0BB25 integrated auxiliary trip) for status feedback to a PLC or annunciator. An undervoltage release (UVR) is built in; no separate undervoltage module needed. Front protection is IP40 — fine for a clean indoor panel, not for washdown or outdoor exposure.
