Breaking capacity and thermal derating
The 3VA1032-4ED32-0KA0: The interrupting rating drops with system voltage: 75.6 kA at 415 V, 52.5 kA at 440 V, and 11.9 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. That 121 kA at 240 V means it clears high-fault currents on 240 V distribution without upstream fuses — useful for transformer-secondaries or large bus feeds. The thermal rating holds 32 A flat from 40 °C to 50 °C, then derates to 31 A at 55 °C and 60 °C, and 30 A at 65 °C and 70 °C. For a panel running at 55 °C ambient, you lose 1 A of headroom.
Dimensions and panel fit
The breaker measures 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm tall, and 70 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint. It fits a 3-pole slot in a SENTRON distribution panel or any 76.2 mm-wide DIN-rail mount. The supplied basic switch is order code 3VA10324ED320AA0; the shunt trip release is built in, so no external undervoltage coil is fitted (undervoltage release is listed as No).
