The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1040-2ED32-0DC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 40 A continuous current at 40 °C, with the TM210 thermal-magnetic release for line protection duty. At 240 V it interrupts 52.5 kA; at 415 V it handles 32 kA; at 440 V it drops to 13.6 kA; at 690 V it still holds 7.5 kA. It carries the full 40 A up to 50 °C; at 55 °C it derates to 38.4 A, at 60 °C to 37.6 A, at 65 °C to 36.8 A, and at 70 °C to 36 A. That is a straight thermal limit — no need to guess the ambient correction factor.
Built-in undervoltage release and auxiliary switches
The auxiliary switches are factory-fitted; no field-add kit needed. The rated continuous current Iu is 40 A; the TM210 release is matched to that value.
