What this MCCB gives you — and what it doesn't
It's a line-protection breaker — no ground-fault monitoring, no phase-failure detection, no communication module, and no auxiliary contacts on board. The interrupting capacity tells the story: 52.5 kA at 240 V, 32 kA at 415 V, 13.6 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V. If you need adjustable long-time or short-time pickup curves, you'd be looking at a different release variant.
Thermal derating — the real continuous current in a warm panel
Above that, the thermal element starts to pull back: 38.4 A at 55 °C, 37.6 A at 60 °C, 36.8 A at 65 °C, and 36 A at 70 °C.
The 3VA1040-2ED32-0HA0 measures 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm tall, and 70 mm deep. No undervoltage release, no auxiliary contact block. If your circuit requires UVR or status feedback, you'll need to add those as field-installable accessories.
The 3VA1010-2ED32-0JA0 is the same physical frame and the same TM210 release, but rated at 10 A instead of 40 A. Both are 3-pole line-protection breakers with identical interrupting capacities (52.5 kA at 240 V, etc.) and the same dimensions. The only difference is the thermal-magnetic trip unit's continuous current rating. If you're replacing a 3VA1010-2ED32-0JA0 in a panel, the 3VA1040-2ED32-0HA0 will bolt into the same footprint and same bus bars — but the 40 A rating will not protect a 10 A circuit. The breaker does not drop in as a functional substitute unless the load current matches.
