Rated continuous current Iu is 40 A, and it holds that rating across ambient temperatures from 40 °C to 50 °C without derating; above 50 °C it steps down gradually to 36 A at 70 °C. Interrupting capacity is substantial: 121 kA at 240 V, 75.6 kA at 415 V, 52.5 kA at 440 V, and 11.9 kA at 690 V — high enough for most industrial distribution panels with large upstream transformers. That keeps it simple and reliable for standard feeder protection but means you cannot dial in custom curves.
Dimensions are 70 mm deep, 76.2 mm wide, and 130 mm high — a compact 3-pole MCCB that fits standard distribution panelboards and enclosure cutouts. Front protection is IP40, suitable for dry indoor environments.
Auxiliary and release options — what is and isn't included
This variant includes a shunt trip (STL) for remote tripping, with the integrated auxiliary trip order code 3VA9688-0BL30. It does not include an undervoltage release, auxiliary contacts, communication function, phase failure detection, or ground fault monitoring. No trip indicator on the front. Latching endurance is 15,000 cycles.
