MCCB for line protection — 50 A, 3-pole, with shunt trip
Breaking capacity runs 52.5 kA at 240 V, 32 kA at 415 V, 13.6 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V, so it handles substantial fault currents across common distribution voltages. This MCCB mounts in a standard panel enclosure — the 76.2 mm width (roughly 3 inches) fits a 3-pole footprint, and the 70 mm depth keeps it within typical distribution board clearances. The shunt trip (STL) release (order code 3VA9688-0BL32) enables emergency-off or remote-trip integration into a safety circuit or PLC-driven shutdown.
Above that, derate linearly: 48 A at 55 °C, 47 A at 60 °C, 46 A at 65 °C, and 45 A at 70 °C. If the panel runs hot — near a drive cabinet or in a non-ventilated enclosure — factor the 55 °C derating into your load calculation.
Integration notes — shunt trip and auxiliary contacts
The shunt trip release (STL) is factory-integrated — order code 3VA9688-0BL32 for the release module itself if servicing a panel that already has the breaker. The undervoltage release is also absent; this breaker trips only on overcurrent or via the shunt trip signal.
