This breaker delivers 52.5 kA at 240 V AC, 32 kA at 415 V, 13.6 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. For a 480 V panel with an available fault current of, say, 18 kA, this breaker has headroom. At 690 V the 7.5 kA rating is the limiting factor; if your system fault current exceeds that, step up to a higher-rated frame.
Thermal derating — don't size by the 50 A label alone
Above that it drops: 49 A at 55 °C, 48 A at 60 °C, 46 A at 65 °C, and 45 A at 70 °C.
Panel fit and physical integration
Dimensions are 130 mm height, 76.2 mm width (3 inches), 70 mm depth. The 3-pole width matches the typical 3-inch-per-pole spacing for MCCBs.
Environmental limits and storage
The storage limits are wider because the breaker isn't carrying current — that's the handling and warehousing spec, not the running condition.
