What this MCCB carries and where it fits
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1050-2ED36-0KH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated 50 A at 40 °C with a 52.5 kA breaking capacity at 240 V. It is designed for line protection in distribution panels and motor control centers, and carries the SENTRON family's compact footprint — 70 mm deep, 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm high — so it fits standard MCCB mounting positions without reworking the busbar stack.
Breaking capacity and thermal rating — what they mean for your panel
The 52.5 kA at 240 V is the maximum fault current this MCCB can safely interrupt at that voltage — critical for service-entrance or high-fault panels where the available short-circuit current exceeds 25 kA. At 415 V the rating drops to 32 kA, and at 690 V to 7.5 kA. The 50 A thermal rating holds from 40 °C through 50 °C without derating; at 70 °C it still carries 45 A. That thermal stability means you don't have to oversize the frame for warm enclosures.
Auxiliary switching and shunt trip built in
This variant ships with two auxiliary switches plus one trip alarm switch (HQ), and a shunt trip release (STL) for remote tripping. That covers status feedback to a PLC and emergency-stop integration without adding external relay logic. The undervoltage release is not fitted on this order code — if UVR is required, specify the -0KH0 variant with that option.
