What the ratings mean for fit
The 3VA1050-3ED32-0DC0: The 50 A rating at 40 °C is the continuous current the breaker carries without tripping in a 40 °C ambient. If your panel runs hotter — say 55 °C — it derates to 49 A; at 65 °C it's 46 A. That matters when you're sizing for a crowded enclosure. The 75.6 kA at 240 V is the maximum fault current it can safely interrupt at that voltage — useful for high-fault-capacity service entrances or industrial feeders. At 415 V (common in European industrial) it still handles 52.5 kA, which covers most distribution transformer ratings. The 800 V rated insulation voltage means it's suitable for 690 V systems with margin.
Panel integration and wiring
Mounts on a DIN rail or direct panel. Dimensions: 130 mm height, 76.2 mm width, 70 mm depth — fits standard MCCB cutouts. The 3-pole form factor matches typical 3-phase feeder positions. Includes an undervoltage release (UVR) and two auxiliary switches (HQ type) for status feedback to a PLC or annunciator. No communication module onboard; this is a standalone breaker. Power loss is 17.1 W maximum — factor that into enclosure thermal calculations.
