What this MCCB carries — and what it doesn't
The Siemens 3VA1050-3ED32-0JA0 is a 3-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for 50 A continuous current (Iu) at 40 °C, with the TM210 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release handling the protection curve. That 50 A holds steady through 50 °C; above that it derates to 48 A at 55 °C, 47 A at 60 °C, 46 A at 65 °C, and 45 A at 70 °C — so if your panel ambient runs hot, size the load side accordingly. Breaking capacity lands at 75.6 kA at 240 V, 52.5 kA at 415 V, 32 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V — that's enough headroom for most industrial distribution panels on 400 V class systems, but the 690 V figure means you need to check coordination if feeding a 690 V drive input. This version ships with a shunt trip (STL) auxiliary release but no undervoltage release, no auxiliary contacts, no ground-fault monitoring, and no communication module.
Panel fit and wiring
The 3VA1050-3ED32-0JA0 measures 70 mm deep, 76.2 mm wide, and 130 mm tall — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint that drops into a SENTRON distribution board or a separate enclosure with DIN-rail adapter. Front protection is IP40, so it's fine inside a closed panel but not for washdown zones. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C.
