Thermal derating and power dissipation
The 3VA1050-3ED36-0KC0: Rated 50 A flat from 40 °C through 50 °C. At 55 °C it derates to 49 A, at 60 °C to 48 A, at 65 °C to 46 A, and at 70 °C to 45 A. Max power loss is 14.6 W — that's the heat you need to vent in a closed panel. Operating range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage stretches from -40 °C to 80 °C.
Dimensions and panel fit
Width 76.2 mm (3 in), height 130 mm (5.12 in), depth 70 mm (2.76 in). That's the standard SENTRON 3VA1 footprint — fits the same DIN-rail or panel-mount cutout as other 3VA frame sizes. No trip indicator on this variant; undervoltage release is not fitted. Auxiliary switch design is 2 HQ auxiliary switches, and a shunt trip (STL) is included as the auxiliary release.
