What this MCCB carries and where it lands
The Siemens 3VA1050-4ED36-0HA0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for 50 A continuous current (Iu) across a -25 °C to 70 °C operating range, with full current up to 50 °C and a gentle derating curve above that — 48 A at 55 °C, 47 A at 60 °C, 46 A at 65 °C, 45 A at 70 °C. It breaks up to 121 kA at 240 V, 75.6 kA at 415 V, 52.5 kA at 440 V, and 11.9 kA at 690 V, so it handles high-fault utility feeds and transformer secondaries without cascading upstream. The TM210 thermal-magnetic release is fixed-trip, line-protection pattern — no adjustable long-time or short-time bands, no ground-fault module, no communication. It's a straight-ahead feeder or branch breaker for panels where selectivity is set by the upstream device, not the breaker itself.
Panel fit and mounting
Three-pole footprint: 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm tall, 70 mm deep. IP40 on the front face — fine for a clean indoor panel, but not washdown or outdoor. No auxiliary contacts built in (order the 3VA9688-0BL30 auxiliary trip separately if you need remote status). The shunt trip (STL) is included as the auxiliary release design, so a remote trip coil is already on the BOM; no undervoltage release, no phase-failure detection. Latching endurance is rated at 15,000 operations — that's a maintenance-cycle number, not a daily-switching figure.
