The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1050-4ED42-0AH0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 50 A continuous current (Iu) with a TM210 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release. It is configured for line protection — no undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring, no communication module.
Thermal derating and panel fit
The 50 A rating holds flat from 40 °C to 50 °C ambient, then derates to 48 A at 55 °C, 47 A at 60 °C, 46 A at 65 °C, and 45 A at 70 °C. If the panel ambient runs above 50 °C, the continuous load must be reduced accordingly — the breaker does not lose its interrupting capacity, but the thermal element will trip earlier. The enclosure footprint is 101.6 mm wide by 130 mm tall by 70 mm deep, with IP40 protection on the front. That width is a standard 4-pole MCCB slot on a DIN rail or mounting plate; verify the gland plate depth if the panel is shallow.
