What this MCCB carries — and what it means for your panel
The Siemens 3VA1063-2ED42-0DH0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection, 4-pole, with a continuous current of 63 A at 40 °C and a rated insulation voltage of 800 V. That 63 A holds flat through 50 °C and only starts to taper at 55 °C — 62 A — dropping to 58 A at 70 °C, so you get full rating in most ventilated enclosures without derating. Breaking capacity runs 52.5 kA at 240 V, 32 kA at 415 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V, which covers the high-fault end of most industrial distribution boards. It ships with an undervoltage release (UVR) and a 2-auxiliary-switch plus 1-trip-alarm-switch HQ block, so the protection scheme and status feedback are built in from the factory.
Panel fit and integration
Dimensions are 130 mm high, 101.6 mm wide, 70 mm deep — a 4-pole MCCB that fits standard panel-mount cutouts for the SENTRON 3VA frame. The 70 mm depth leaves room behind the door for wiring and auxiliary wiring without crowding. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C, so it's fine for unheated warehouses or outdoor cabinets as long as the enclosure keeps it dry.
Auxiliary and release configuration
Factory-fitted with an undervoltage release (UVR) and a 2-auxiliary-switch + 1-trip-alarm-switch HQ block. That means you get remote status (open/closed/tripped) and undervoltage protection without adding separate accessories. No ground-fault monitoring version on this variant. Maximum power loss is 19.8 W — plan for that in the enclosure thermal budget.
