What this MCCB carries
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1063-3ED36-0HC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection. It handles 63 A continuous at 40 °C and breaks up to 75.6 kA at 240 V — the interrupting rating drops to 52.5 kA at 415 V and 32 kA at 440 V, so match it to the available fault current at the panel's service voltage.
Thermal-magnetic trip and derating
The TM210 overcurrent release is a fixed thermal-magnetic trip. The breaker holds its full 63 A rating up to 50 °C; above that it derates to 60.48 A at 55 °C and 56.7 A at 70 °C. If the panel ambient runs hot, factor that into the load calculation — the 63 A nameplate is only good in a 50 °C or cooler enclosure.
Mounting and integration
The 3VA1063-3ED36-0HC0 measures 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, and 70 mm deep. It mounts on a DIN rail or panel plate inside a standard distribution enclosure. The front face carries an IP40 rating — suitable for dry indoor panels but not washdown environments.
Auxiliary and shunt trip
Two auxiliary switches (HQ version) are integrated for status feedback to a PLC or remote indicator. A shunt trip (STL) release is also built in for remote tripping via a control signal. No undervoltage release, no communication module, and no ground-fault monitoring on this variant.
