What this MCCB is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA1063-3ED42-0AE0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) with 4 poles, rated for a continuous current of 63 A at ambient temperatures up to 50 °C — it holds full rating there, then derates to 60.48 A at 55 °C and 56.7 A at 70 °C. It is a line-protection version (no ground-fault or phase-failure detection built in), fitted with a TM210 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release. The interrupting capacity reaches 75.6 kA at 240 V and 52.5 kA at 415 V, which covers most industrial service-entrance and distribution panel fault levels.
Mounting and panel fit
The breaker measures 101.6 mm wide by 130 mm tall by 70 mm deep — a standard 4-pole MCCB footprint for DIN-rail or screw-mount panel integration. The front face carries an IP40 protection rating, meaning it is sealed against tools and small wires but not against water ingress; mount it inside a rated enclosure for washdown or outdoor duty.
