63 A MCCB with high interrupting capacity for line protection
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1063-4ED36-0AD0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 63 A continuous current with a TM210 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release, designed for line protection duty. Its interrupting capacity reaches 121 kA at 240 V AC, 75.6 kA at 415 V, 52.5 kA at 440 V, and 11.9 kA at 690 V — meaning it can safely clear high-fault currents at common distribution voltages without upstream cascading. The 800 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) supports use in 690 V line-side applications. The TM210 release is fixed (non-adjustable thermal and magnetic trip), suited for straightforward feeder protection where you set it and forget it. Three built-in auxiliary switches (HQ type) provide status feedback to a PLC or panel lamp without needing an add-on block.
Thermal derating and panel fit
The breaker holds its full 63 A rating up to 50 °C ambient. Above that, it derates gradually: 60.48 A at 55 °C, 59.22 A at 60 °C, 57.96 A at 65 °C, and 56.7 A at 70 °C. If your panel runs hot — say, a packed enclosure near a furnace line — factor that 10 % drop at the top end into your load budget. Dimensions are 130 mm high × 76.2 mm wide × 70 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint that fits most DIN-rail or panel-mount enclosures. IP40 on the front means it is protected against tools and wires >1 mm, but not against water ingress; keep it inside a rated enclosure. Latching endurance is rated at 15,000 cycles. No undervoltage release, no communication module, no phase-failure detection on this variant.
