What this 63 A MCCB carries
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1063-4ED42-0HH0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 63 A continuous current (Iu) with a TM210 thermal-magnetic release. It's built for line protection — no ground-fault monitoring, no communication module, no undervoltage release. The interrupting ratings climb to 121 kA at 240 V and 75.6 kA at 415 V, so it handles high-fault panels without cascading upstream. The front carries IP40 protection; the auxiliary contact block ships as 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch (HQ).
Thermal derating at elevated ambient
This breaker holds its full 63 A rating up to 50 °C. Above that it derates stepwise: 60.48 A at 55 °C, 59.22 A at 60 °C, 57.96 A at 65 °C, and 56.7 A at 70 °C. If your panel ambient runs above 50 °C, the continuous load must be trimmed accordingly — the rating is not flat across the operating range.
Sourcing and lifecycle
The lifecycle stage is listed as current — no phase-out or EOL notice. The part is sourced to order against an RFQ through independent distribution; availability and current pricing are confirmed at quote time.
Panel fit and integration
Dimensions are 70 mm deep, 101.6 mm wide, 130 mm high. The 4-pole footprint fits standard SENTRON panel cutouts. The shunt trip (STL) release is included; the integrated auxiliary trip is order code 3VA9688-0BL30. No N-conductor protection — this is a straight line-protection device without neutral monitoring.
