What this MCCB delivers on the line
The Siemens 3VA1063-4ED42-0KH0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated 63 A at 40 °C, with a 121 kA interrupting capacity at 240 V — enough to handle high-fault utility feeds without cascading upstream breakers. Four-pole construction covers three-phase-plus-neutral or dual-fed applications; the 70 mm depth and 101.6 mm width fit standard MCCB panel footprints without re-spacing the bus. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V.
Breaking capacity across voltages
Interrupting rating drops from 121 kA at 240 V to 75.6 kA at 415 V, 52.5 kA at 440 V, and 11.9 kA at both 500 V and 690 V — the 690 V figure is the same as the 500 V figure, so the breaker is current-limited at higher voltages.
Thermal derating and ambient limits
Rated current holds at 63 A from 40 °C through 50 °C, then derates to 62 A at 55 °C, 61 A at 60 °C, 60 A at 65 °C, and 58 A at 70 °C — useful for panels near heat sources or in non-conditioned enclosures. Operating ambient range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C.
Auxiliary switching and release options
Comes with two auxiliary switches plus one trip alarm switch (HQ) and a shunt trip release (STL) — covers remote status and emergency trip without adding external relays.
