Rated current and breaking capacity — what drives the fit
That rating holds steady through 50 °C; at 55 °C it derates to 76.8 A, and at 70 °C it sits at 72 A — so for a panel running warm, the 80 A frame still carries the load without stepping up a frame size. Breaking capacity tracks the system voltage: 52.5 kA at 240 V, 32 kA at 415 V, 13.6 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V. That 32 kA at 415 V covers most European industrial distribution panels; the 52.5 kA at 240 V handles high-fault North American 120/240 V services. The 690 V rating at 7.5 kA is useful for 690 V drives or mining gear, though you'd check the selectivity study before committing.
Internal release and auxiliary contacts
The overcurrent release is the TM210 — a thermal-magnetic type, fixed-trip, non-adjustable for the magnetic pickup. That's the standard choice for feeder or distribution protection where you don't need electronic adjustability. The integrated auxiliary trip order code is 3VA9608-0BB25, which is the factory-fit accessory if you need to order the spare or verify the fit.
Dimensions: 130 mm height, 76.2 mm width (3-pole frame), 70 mm depth. That 76.2 mm width is the standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for the 3VA frame — it fits the same DIN-rail or mounting-plate cutout as other 3VA 3-pole units in the 80 A class.
