What this MCCB carries and where it fits
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1080-2ED36-0CH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 80 A continuous current at 40 °C, with a TM210 thermal-magnetic release for line protection. It breaks 52.5 kA at 240 V and 32 kA at 415 V, so it handles high-fault utility feeds or transformer secondaries without cascading upstream. The 70 mm depth and 76.2 mm width let it fit standard MCCB mounting footprints in distribution panels.
Thermal derating and trip hardware
The 80 A rating holds flat through 50 °C, then derates to 76.8 A at 55 °C, 75.2 A at 60 °C, 73.6 A at 65 °C, and 72 A at 70 °C. If the panel ambient runs above 50 °C, size the load side for the derated figure, not the nameplate 80 A. The TM210 release is thermal-magnetic — fixed thermal curve, magnetic pickup adjustable via the front dial. No voltage trigger, no phase failure detection, no ground fault monitoring; this is a straight line-protection breaker. The auxiliary contact block ships with 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch HQ, and the integrated undervoltage release (UVR) is wired through the 3VA9608-0BB24 auxiliary trip accessory.
