What this MCCB carries
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1080-2ED36-0HA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker built for line protection — no communication module, no ground-fault monitoring, just the TM210 thermal-magnetic release and a shunt trip (STL) auxiliary release. Rated 80 A at 40 °C, it holds that current flat through 50 °C, then derates to 78 A at 55 °C and 74 A at 70 °C. The interrupting ratings climb to 52.5 kA at 240 V, drop to 32 kA at 415 V, and settle at 7.5 kA at 690 V. Insulation voltage is rated 800 V. Maximum power loss runs 19.2 W. That 52.5 kA at 240 V means this breaker clears high-fault conditions on the secondary side of a 240 V distribution transformer without upstream coordination headaches — the interrupting capacity is the ceiling the breaker can safely open under short circuit, not just a withstand rating. At 415 V (common European line-to-line), the 32 kA still covers most industrial panelboard feeds.
