80 A MCCB with 121 kA interrupting capacity
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1080-4ED36-0AE0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 80 A continuous current at 40 °C, with a TM210 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release. Its interrupting capacity hits 121 kA at 240 V and 75.6 kA at 415 V — numbers that matter when you're coordinating downstream breakers and need a fault-current cliff that won't cascade upstream. The 800 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) tells you it's built for 480 V and 600 V class panels with headroom. The 3VA1080-4ED36-0AE0 ships with four auxiliary switches (HQ version) already fitted — no separate order for a signal contact. Thermal derating and temperature range
The breaker holds 80 A flat from 40 °C up to 50 °C. At 55 °C it derates to 76.8 A, then 75.2 A at 60 °C, 73.6 A at 65 °C, and 72 A at 70 °C. If your panel ambient runs hot — say a crowded enclosure near a furnace line — factor that 10 % drop at the top end. The operating range spans -25 °C to 70 °C; storage from -40 °C to 80 °C.
