Line protection MCCB — 16 A, 3-pole, TM210 release
The 3VA1096-3ED32-0AH0: Breaking capacity is voltage-dependent: 75.6 kA at 240 V, 52.5 kA at 415 V, 32 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V — figures that govern fault-clearing capability across common distribution voltages. The overcurrent release is a TM210 thermal-magnetic type, with an adjustable long-time delay tr up to 1 s. No undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring, no communication function — this is a straightforward thermal-magnetic breaker for standard feeder or branch protection.
Dimensions and panel fit
The MCCB measures 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm high, and 70 mm deep — a standard SENTRON 3VA footprint that fits existing Siemens panel layouts and DIN-rail or screw-mount installations. Front-face protection is IP40, suitable for general-purpose enclosures where tools are required to access live parts. Storage range spans -40 °C to 80 °C; operating ambient runs -25 °C to 70 °C.
Thermal derating and auxiliary contacts
Rated current holds at 16 A from 40 °C through 50 °C, then derates: 15.36 A at 55 °C, 15.04 A at 60 °C, 14.72 A at 65 °C, and 14.4 A at 70 °C. Panel builders should account for this curve when loading adjacent breakers in a warm enclosure. The auxiliary contact block is a 2-switch + 1 trip-alarm HQ configuration, providing status feedback and trip indication without needing a separate module.
