Switch Disconnector for Isolation, Not Overload Protection
The Siemens 3VA1110-1AA32-0KH0 is a SENTRON 3VA1 IEC frame 160 switch disconnector rated for 100 A continuous current (Iu) across 3 poles. This is a pure disconnector — it provides no overload or short-circuit protection, so it's specified where the upstream breaker or fuse already handles fault interruption and you need a local, lockable isolation point for a motor, panel, or machine section. Rated for 690 V AC and 500 V DC. Front terminal arrangement with busbar connection keeps the footprint tight for panel layouts. The shunt trip release (STL) is factory-fitted for 220-250 V DC or 208-277 V AC — a remote trip coil that lets a safety circuit, E-stop, or PLC output open the disconnector without someone pulling the handle. Two auxiliary switches plus a dedicated trip alarm switch (HQ) give status feedback: one set for open/closed indication, one for the trip event.
Panel Fit and Environmental Limits
Dimensions: 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, 70 mm deep. The 3-pole body fits the standard 3VA1 panel cutout and DIN-rail adapter pattern — if you're swapping into an existing SENTRON 3VA1 lineup, the footprint matches the frame-160 switch disconnector and MCCB variants. IP40 on the front means it's protected against tools and solid objects over 1 mm, but not sealed against moisture — suitable for indoor panel installation, not washdown zones. Operating range from -25 °C to 70 °C, storage from -40 °C to 80 °C, covering most conditioned and unconditioned electrical rooms. Maximum power loss of 38 W at rated current — factor that into panel thermal calculations if the enclosure is sealed or densely populated.
