What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA1110-1AA36-0KH0 is a SENTRON 3VA1 switch disconnector in an MCCB-style housing — three poles, rated 100 A continuous, with no overload or short-circuit protection built in. That means it functions purely as a load-break disconnect: you use it where isolation and switching are the job, not overcurrent protection. The 100 A rating holds flat from 40 °C all the way up to 70 °C, so no derating headache in a warm panel. It ships with a shunt trip release (STL) wired for 220–250 V DC or 208–277 V AC, plus two HQ auxiliary switches and one trip alarm switch — three CO contacts total. The front-facing clamp terminals accept standard copper conductors, and the 70 mm depth fits the 3VA1 frame footprint. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V; operating voltage goes to 690 V AC or 500 V DC.
Where it goes in the panel
Mounts in a standard distribution board or control panel on a mounting plate — the 76.2 mm width and 130 mm height match the 3VA1 MCCB cutout. Front terminals keep wiring accessible without pulling the unit. IP40 on the front face means it's protected against tools and solid objects larger than 1 mm; fine for indoor switchgear, not for washdown zones.
