What this MCCB delivers
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1110-3EF32-0CA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current (Iu) at 40 °C, with a TM240 thermal-magnetic release for line protection. Breaking capacity hits 75.6 kA at 240 V and 52.5 kA at 415 V — enough to handle high-fault industrial feeders without cascading upstream. The 800 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) covers 480 V and 600 V class panels with margin. An integrated undervoltage release (UVR) is built in — no separate aux contact needed for that function. The TM240 release is fixed-thermal, fixed-magnetic; no field-adjustable trip settings, so the BOM spec is the trip spec.
Fit and panel integration
Footprint: 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, 70 mm deep. That 70 mm depth is the key dimension for shallow gland-plate clearance or tight backpanel layouts — measure your enclosure depth against it before committing the cutout. IP40 on the front face; suitable for dry indoor panels, not washdown zones.
Thermal derating and real-world current
The 100 A rating holds through 50 °C ambient. Above that, derate linearly: 96 A at 55 °C, 94 A at 60 °C, 92 A at 65 °C, 90 A at 70 °C. If your panel ambient runs hot, the 90 A floor at 70 °C still gives headroom for a 75 A continuous load.
