The Siemens 3VA1110-3EF36-0AC0 is a 3-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated 100 A at 40 °C with a TM240 thermal-magnetic release, designed for line protection. It interrupts up to 75.6 kA at 240 V, 52.5 kA at 415 V, and 11.9 kA at 690 V — the 690 V figure tells you this breaker holds up on 600 V class systems where many MCCBs derate hard.
Ratings and what they mean for fit
Current rating holds flat at 100 A from 40 °C up to 50 °C, then tapers to 91 A at 70 °C — so in a hot panel near the mill roof or a drive cabinet you still get 91 A without tripping. The 75.6 kA interrupting rating at 240 V gives headroom for high-fault industrial services; at 415 V it still clears 52.5 kA, enough for most distribution transformers. Insulation voltage is rated 800 V, so the breaker can be used on 690 V line-to-line systems without creeping along the insulation margin. The TM240 release is a fixed thermal-magnetic trip — no electronic adjustment, no communication module — which keeps it simple and reliable for fixed-load line protection.
Panel integration
Mounts on a DIN rail or can be screw-mounted via the base. The 70 mm depth and 76.2 mm width fit standard SENTRON panel cutouts and leave finger space for cable entry below the breaker. The 3-pole body with two auxiliary switches (HQ design) occupies the same footprint as the base breaker — no extra width for the aux contacts.
