Siemens SENTRON 3VA1110-3EF36-0KH0 — 100 A MCCB for Line Protection
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1110-3EF36-0KH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection, carrying 100 A continuously at 40 °C without derating. Its interrupting capacity reaches 75.6 kA at 240 V AC and 52.5 kA at 415 V AC — figures that govern selectivity in a distribution panel: at 415 V it clears a 52.5 kA fault without upstream breakers needing to trip. At 440 V the rating drops to 32 kA, and at 500/690 V it holds at 11.9 kA, so the installed fault level at the point of use must be checked against these curves. The breaker includes a shunt trip release (STL) and a complement of 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch (HQ), which covers remote status feedback and emergency-off integration. A trip indicator and voltage trigger are present; undervoltage release and ground-fault monitoring are not fitted on this variant. The supplied basic switch is order code 3VA11103EF360AA0.
Thermal Derating and Panel Fit
Rated current holds at 100 A from 40 °C through 50 °C, then steps down: 98 A at 55 °C, 96 A at 60 °C, 94 A at 65 °C, and 91 A at 70 °C. In a sealed enclosure with multiple breakers ganged, the 55 °C derating point is the one to design around — the 2 A drop is small, but the curve is continuous. Maximum power loss is 25 W. Dimensions are 70 mm deep, 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm high — standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for DIN-rail or panel-mount integration. Operating temperature range is -25 to 70 °C; storage range is -40 to 80 °C.
