The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1110-4EF36-0AH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection. It carries a continuous current of 100 A up to 50 °C, derating to 91 A at 70 °C, and uses a TM240 thermal-magnetic release — so the thermal element tracks load heating while the magnetic trip handles short-circuit events. The interrupting capacity at 240 V is 121 kA, which means it can safely clear faults up to that level without upstream cascading; at 415 V it still holds 75.6 kA, and at 690 V it delivers 11.9 kA. That spread covers most industrial distribution panels where high-fault-current mains feed downstream branch breakers.
Physical fit and panel integration
The breaker measures 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, and 70 mm deep. It mounts on a DIN rail or directly to a backplate via the screw terminals. The 3-pole footprint is standard for a 100 A frame — it occupies three 18 mm pole spaces on the rail. The auxiliary switch configuration (2 auxiliary switches + 1 trip alarm switch HQ) is built in, so you get remote status indication without adding an external module. The trip indicator on the front face shows whether the breaker opened on overload or short circuit, which speeds fault isolation on a line-down call.
